Francesco Cito, born in Naples  in 1949, lives in Milan. In 1972 goes to London to dedicate himself to the photography. Become a professionist freelance in 1975, starts to collaborate with The Sunday Time Magazine and with the Observer Magazine.

The places of the criminal bands and the war places, from the occupation of Afghanistan to the Middle East war are the scenary of his job, whose importance has been recognized from national and international newspapers and magazines as Epoca, Panorama, L'Espresso, Stern, Due Zeit, Life, Paris, Match, Figaro Magazine.

In Italy, apart from the mafia and camorra facts, he is interested in popular events as The Palio of Siena, and various social aspects. Lately his objective is pointed to Sardinia away from the tourist places.

In Italia, oltre ai fatti relativi a Mafia e Camorra, è attratto dagli eventi popolari come il Palio di Siena e a vari aspetti sociali. Più tardi il suo obiettivo si è concentrato sui luoghi della Sardegna lontano dai turisti.
