MAURIZIO FRULLANI photographer

Maurizio Frullani was born in 1942 in Ronchi dei Legionari (Go) and he is still living there. He took a degree in ISEF from a University in Rome in 1967, but his interest in photography came previously, in 1964 he became photographer. From 1974 he dedicate himself to travel photography. From 1974 until 1988 he travelled thought out Turkey, Afghanistan, Pakistan, India and Nepal. He studied Indian music while he was in India, in this way he was able to do a photographic work about musicians and musical schools  in northern India. From 1993 until 2000 he lived in Eritrea working like a teacher in the Italian school of Asmara. He used the occasion to report also from that place a large amount of photographic material.  


Maurizio Frullani è nato nel 1942 a Ronchi dei Legionari (Go), dove vive.Si laurea presso l'ISEF di Roma nel 1967, ma già dal 1964 si appassiona di fotografia. Nel 1974 decide di rendere quella passione un lavoro, diventando fotografo di viaggio. Così, dal 1974 al 1988 viaggia in Turchia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, India e Nepal. Durante il soggiorno in India studia la musica del posto, riuscendo poi a creare un lavoro sui musicicisti e sulle scuole di musica del Nord dell'India. Dal 1993 al 2000 ha vissuto in Eritrea, lavorando come insegnante presso la scuola italiana di Asmara. L'occasione gli ha permesso di svolgere un lungo reportage su quel paese.
