NICOLA BETTALE photographer
Nicola Bettale was born in Schio (I) in 1978 where he currently
lives and works. He has started to be involved in photography in
2005 and since the beginning has set out on a way of conceptual and
expressive search through which he subjectively inquires into
collective aspects of contemporary society.
As from 2006 the young author has been taking part at solo and
group exhibitions in Italy and abroad. Here are some among the most
important ones: Liquid Paths by the Bevilacqua La Masa foundation
(Venice), From Academy to Furnace by the Furnace foundation (Asolo)
and Camino al Bicentenario 1810-2010 - Pylares y Paracciones by the
Presidencia de la Nacion (Buenos Aires, Argentina). Center/Suburbs.
New Creativities in Rome by Federculture office and the Dance of
unknown people by Pho-to'35 gallery (Turin).
In 2007 he reaches the first prize at the Center/Suburbs
international contest for young artists, organized by Federculture
(Rome) and he was one of the five selected photographers at Arte
Prize 2007.
His artworks have been published on many Art specialized
magazines as Young Blood 2007, Zoom magazine and Arte.
Nicola Bettale nasce a Schio
nel 1978, dove ancora vive e lavora. La sua carriera fotografica
è iniziata nel 2005. Fin dagli esordi Bettale ha mostrato
propensione verso una ricerca concettuale ed espressiva,
indagando gli aspetti della collettività nella
società contemporanea.
Dal 2006 partecipa ad
esposizioni personali e collettive, sia in Italia che all'estero.
Tra le più importanti "Liquid Paths" alla fondazione
Bevilacqua la Masa di Venezia, "From Academy to Furnace" presso la
fondazione Furnace di Asolo, "Camino al Bicentenario 1810-2010 -
Pylares y Paracciones by the Presidencia de la Nacion" a Buenos
Aires in Argentina, "Center/Suburbs" a Roma e "the dance of unknow
people" alla galleria Pho-to'35 di Torino.
Nel 2007 ha vinto il primo
premio del concorso internazionale "Center/Suburbs" per giovani
artisti organizzato dalla Federcultura di Roma, ed è stato
tra i primi cinque fotografi selezionati all'Arte Prize.
Il suo lavoro è stato
pubblicato su diverse riviste d'arte, come Young Blood, Zoom
Magazine e Arte.
